In the case, filed Wednesday in federal court in Oregon, where the US unit of German PV maker SolarWorld is based, DuPont alleges that Heraeus and SolarWorld have infringed on its patent for a frontside silver photovoltaic paste -- US Patent 8,158,504, issued 17 April, according to DuPont's complaint.
The complaint alleges that Heraeus' H92XX and/or H94XX frontside silver photovoltaic pastes, which it has supplied to SolarWorld for use in the manufacture of PV cells, infringes on at least four claims of the DuPont patent.
