The wind farm is currently owned by Nordkraft Vind, in which Norwegian hydropower firm Nordkraft has a 50% stake.
On 9 June Nordkraft Vind nabbed a $58m financing package from the Norwegian government to pursue the project, which will have an output between 25.3 megawatts (MW) and 33MW.
Dong says it is looking to diversify its experience building wind farms in difficult terrains.
