The project is located in a 25,000 forest reservation at Mts. Rangas and Tanawon, in a mountainous region northwest of the city. It will expand EDC’s plants by 90 MW, in addition to the existing 150 MW facilities, with 40 MW of new output at Rangas and 50 MW at Tanawon according to Bacon Geothermal Production Field (BGPF) resident manager Liberato Virata.
