In line with other consultants, BTM says that Chinese wind turbine manufacturer Sinovel overtook the US’ GE to take second place in the market, with 11.1%, compared to 9.2% in 2009.
Fellow Chinese turbine manufacturer Goldwind overtook Germany’s Enercon to take fourth place, with 9.5%, compared to 7.2% in 2009.
“The most significant change in the supply market was the strong growth of Chinese wind turbine suppliers,” BTM says in its World Market Update report.
