The A-3 and A-5 tenders – which have in previous rounds resulted in major power contract wins for wind and other renewables developers – have been shifted from October until 12 and 14 December respectively.
Distributors asked for more time to sort out their future power requirements as the government works through the details of eliminating several previously-awarded thermoelectric contracts, whose projects it has since become clear will never be built.
