Developing nations at the climate change talks , including China are strongly in favour of preserving and extending the Kyoto Protocol. They have accused richer nations of trying to collapsing the strand of negotiations focussed on Kyoto in favour of a single replacement, and are worried that any new agreement will not commit developed countries to binding, short and mid term targets.
