Construction of Silverton – sited in the New South Wales (NSW) outback and potentially the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest wind farm – was scheduled by power-producer AGL to start by the end of next year.
But it has emerged that this has been shunted back to allow AGL to focus on the thin-film solar projects, which will be built with the help of Australia’s federal Solar Flagships support scheme and state funding.
