The Carbon Trust’s wake effects measurement project,part of its cost-reduction Offshore Wind Accelerator programme, will usea suite of six laser-guided Lidar devices and a sonic anemometer to capturedetailed data about the flow and turbulence in wind regimes in “complex”locations offshore, with a view to sharpening prediction accuracy andfine-tuning wind farm layouts.
