The project – which is set to use the new 8MW V164 wind turbine from MHI Vestas, its first major commercial order – is due to be commissioned by the first quarter of 2017, with onshore construction starting in November this year and offshore work following in 2016.
The Extension will be sited in Liverpool Bay, west of the existing 90MW Burbo Bank wind farm.
