Seacat Services claimed the £10m ($15.9m) deal with boat-builder South Boats IOW represents one of the largest offshore wind service vessel orders the industry has yet seen.
The UK’s South Boats IOW will deliver one 24-metre and two 26-metre vessels over the next 18-24 months.
Seacat Services said the trio are being ordered to help keep pace with demand from the burgeoning offshore wind sector in Europe.
