The agreement, signed yesterday  by DCNS director for marine energy Frédéric Le Lidec and regional council president Pierrick Massiot, aims to have a plan for a 50MW array made up of as many as eight turbines ready for the French government's call for expressions of interest, which is set for next year.

"This co-operation with the Brittany region, a long-standing partner of DCNS which shares our ambition, [will help] to develop a sector of excellence in marine renewable energy for France," says Le Lidec.
