Geissbuehler points to the existing 1.4GW pipeline of projects to come out of France’s first offshore tenders – with more capacity on the way – as a rough approximate for what would need to happen in the US to triggersimilar commitments from manufacturers.
The threshold might have been slightly higher in France, however, given the sizeable manufacturing base already present in nearby European countries.
