Installation of the project's 6MW Siemens machines, assigned to the Sea Installer construction vessel, will kick off in the autumn of 2016, with developers Statoil, Statkraft and Masdar aiming for Dudgeon to be fully operational a year later.
"We have great experience with installation of the 6MW Siemens turbine from two former projects [at Dong's Gunfleet Sands 3 and Westermost Rough] and our skilled teams both on board Sea Installer and at the office have secured a solid, efficient and safe solution to install the turbines for Statoil," says A2Sea chief executive Jens Frederik Hansen.
