Energy minister Máximo Pacheco was reappointed to his post on Monday after Bachelet replaced five ministers, including finance minister Alberto Arenas.
Last week the left-leaning president asked her entire cabinet to resign amid ongoing corruption scandals affecting all parties, and political clashes with opposition and coalition parties over a number of reforms – including to the tax and voting systems – that she has been promoting since assuming office 14 months ago.
