Vietnam could have 10GW of offshore wind in operation as soon as 2030, said a joint report on the nation’s prospects from the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) and the World Bank Group.
The capacity target – which could put Vietnam on a par with other Asian offshore wind leaders such as Taiwan and Japan – was recommended by the two bodies as they set out a roadmap for the sector’s development there.
