Acciona Energia is just weeks from commissioning the 183MW El Cortijo wind farm in Mexico, among the first renewables projects to cross the finish line as part of Mexico’s landmark energy reforms.
Acciona secured a contract for El Cortijo in Mexico’s first competitive clean-energy auction in 2016, and the €200m ($172m) project entered construction in northeastern Tamaulipas state in early 2017 using 61 AW125/3000 3MW turbines from Nordex.
