The Parkwind consortium has chosen MHI Vestas’s 9.5MW power horse for its 224MW Northwester 2 project off Belgium, which is set to become the first array to be built with what is currently still the biggest wind turbine available in the market.
The OEM will supply 23 of its V164-9.5MW turbine to the project, with installation scheduled for late 2019.
