Tri Global has developed 6GW of wind capacity in Texas and New Mexico, and intends to bring 500MW of wind into construction each year through 2018. The Dallas-based company claims it is responsible for nearly one-quarter of all wind projects currently under construction in Texas, and has recently sold huge projects to the likes of NextEra.
But privately owned Tri Global has broadened its ambitions to include solar energy, and will “rapidly grow” its new TGE Solar unit, both as a developer and project operator, says chief executive John Billingsley.
