Spanish wind group Gamesa has cut the ribbon at its third factory in India, a blade plant in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Phase one of the new Nellore facility will make blades for Gamesa’s G114-2.0 MW model, the company’s key machine as it seeks to increase its already market-leading share of India’s growing wind market.

A second stage to come online later this year will add further capacity, as well as lines for generators and PV inverters.
