The chairman’s role replaces that of EWEA president. The current holder of that post, Andrew Garrad, steps down under the new arrangement.
Thomas Becker remains as CEO of the Brussels-based group.
The EWEA board will be reduced from 60 to 20 members as part of the reforms, which are intended to make the organisation more efficient and responsive to the industry’s needs.
