London: Iberdrola Renovables has started construction of its 80MW Mihai Viteazu wind farm in the Dobrogea region of Romania. It will be the first stage of the Spanish group's massive Dobrogea project, which has a total planned capacity of about 1.5GW and is due to be completed by 2017.
Mihai Viteazu will consist of 40 Gamesa 2MW turbines, and will be built by Iberdrola Ingeniería y Construcción.
