Wafer giant will extend abroad if it finds 'sizeable customer'

GCL-Poly, the principal wafer supplier to many of China's highest-profile PV module manufacturers, is looking to make its first foray outside China, according to a senior executive.

The Hong Kong-listed company has had its hands full catering to its Chinese customers in recent years, says global marketing director Eddy Blokken.

"But yes, if we have a sizeable customer in another market, we'll extend outside China."
