US seeks proposals for A tlantic wind farms
The US government has begun seeking proposals from private developers to build utility-scale wind farms in federal waters in the Atlantic Ocean off the Massachusetts coast.. The request for information (RFI) issued by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE) covers a 3,000-square-mile (7,770sq km) area on the outer continental shelf, which begins 13.8 miles (22.2km) south of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
