US net solar exports worth $723m last year
A surprising report that could strengthen its domestic support, the US solar industry says its net product exports totalled $723m last year. Exports included $1.1bn of high-purity polysilicon, of which the US is a top producer; $1bn of PV modules; and $165m of PV cells, wafers and inverters. Top export markets included Germany, Japan and China.
