The UK government has cancelled its solar-energy project because of its own proposed cuts to the solar feed-in tariff (FIT). The idea was that buildings on government-owned land, such as hospitals, could earn extra revenue by installing solar panels.
But the project was quietly cancelled last month, just after the government launched proposals to cut the FIT for solar projects larger than 50kW.
