Seattle: Vertically integrated Chinese PV manufacturer Trina Solar is licensing "module-integrated installation hardware" from Zep Solar. Trina says the companies have signed a licensing, sales and marketing agreement that will see "Zep Groove"-equipped Trina modules on sale in North America, Europe and Australia in the third quarter.
The technology from US-based Zep is designed to eliminate "bulky mounting rails and separate grounding hardware, which will greatly reduce parts count and hardware costs as well as allowing reductions in design, labour and logistics costs", Trina says..
