Eurus and NRG Solar signed a deal in September to develop a 45MW solar plant in California, which will start supplying power in June 2011.
T epco eyes 50% capacity increase in five years
Tokyo Electric Power's (Tepco) Eurus Energy Holdings subsidiary plans to increase its generation capacity from renewable sources to 2.95GW from its current level of 1.95GW over the next five years. Chief executive Tetsuro Nagata says the company is likely to invest around ´ 100bn ($1.2bn) in wind and solar projects in Asia, the US and Europe over the period.
