Seattle: President Barack Obama's chief trade negotiator says a dispute between the US and China over subsidies for Chinese-made wind turbines could be resolved without going before a World Trade Organization (WTO) panel.. In late December, the US asked for formal WTO dispute settlement consultations with China, alleging that its Special Fund for Wind Power Manufacturing appears to provide prohibited subsidies that favour wind turbines using Chinese-made parts and components.
