Partnership heads into new waters

Norwegian tidal-energy company H ammerfest Strøm's partnership with A ndritz Hydro is already bearing fruit. The Austrian hydropower company, which became the main shareholder in Hammerfest Strøm through a share issue in August, aims to open up new markets for the Norwegians' 1MW tidal turbine. Hammerfest Strøm chief executive Stein Atle Andersen says: "Andritz Hydro is supporting us in the engineering, both with regard to electrical systems and mechanical aspects.
