BRISTOL: Ocean Power Technologies (OPT) is trialling its flagship utility-scale PB150 PowerBuoy wave-energy device off the northeast coast of Scotland. Built and assembled at Isleburn's Invergordon yard, the 35-metre-tall semi-submersible PB150, which converts the rising and falling of waves into energy using mechanical stroking technology to drive an electrical generator, will be moored 53km offshore in depths of about 60 metres.
