The Ontario election on 6 October has many in the wind-power industry holding their breath. Premier Dalton McGuinty's Liberal Party was widely lauded for its 2009 Green Energy Act (GEA) and ambitious feed-in tariff (FIT) that together have the potential to create large-scale employment and attract roughly C$30bn ($30.3bn) of private-sector investment to the province.
