Tokyo Electric Power (Tepco) has decided to dump radioactive water from its crippled Fukushima nuclear plant into the sea. Tepco has run out of space to store fluids to cool damaged reactors, and will discharge 11,500 tonnes of water containing radioactive iodine levels about 100 times the regulatory limit from its waste treatment facility and pits outside reactors five and six.
