London: Engineering firm Mabey Bridge says it has completed the first section of an 80-metre wind turbine tower at its new £38m ($61m) factory in Chepstow, South Wales.. Mabey Bridge, which says it is "the UK's only indigenous producer" of onshore turbine towers has completed a 26.6-metre-long structure for the Seamer wind farm in Yorkshire, north England. .
Mabey Bridge will soon be able to produce 300 towers a year, after taking delivery of three welding stations.
