 Danish Climate and Energy Minister Lykke Friis has warned Europe that continuing to depend on increasingly expensive oil is a losing proposition. She told the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) annual conference that the continent must end its oil addiction. . "Let there be no doubt, the new energy reality is here," she says, referring to higher oil prices brought about by the political unrest in North Africa and the Middle East .
