Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley sought to gain public support for an offshore wind development bill by taking part in a rally. O'Malley has proposed amendments as he tries to get the bill enacted this year, but it faces resistance in the state legislature. At the rally at a dock in the state capital, Annapolis, in front of three model wind turbines, he led a group of environmentalists and union members in a chant: "Pass the bill - sing it with me, people."
