Japan a step closer to renewables revolution Sawyer says
Japan is on course to offer a major boost to solar, wind and other clean-energy sources, after a renewables bill won approval from the parliament's lower house this week. The legislation will require utilities to buy power from renewables at above-market rates for up to 20 years.
