The bank also predicts the US will make little progress in the coming years on a cap-and-trade system or in increasing the share of renewable energy in its generation mix.
HSBC: no deal until 2014-15
Investment bank HSBC says that a deal on climate change is not likely until 2014-15.. "The positive momentum from Canc ú -is important, but should not obscure the real difficulties that lie in the way of a comprehensive global agreement," says the bank.
