The US wind industry is showing signs of recovering from its 2010 stumble, with more projects under construction than at the same point in the previous two years.. Some 5.6GW of projects were being built as the first quarter ended, according to the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA).
The industry installed 1.1GW in the quarter, bringing the nation's total wind capacity to 41.4GW.
