Greengate secures partner for Halkirk 1

Canadian developer Greengate Power has entered a joint- venture agreement with independent power producer Capital Power of Edmonton to construct and operate the proposed 150MW Halkirk 1 wind farm in the western province of Alberta. Terms of the agreement call for Greengate to lead project development, while Capital Power will manage construction and operation.Each party will own a 50% interest in the project, to be sited on private land 275km northeast of Calgary.
