Belgian gearbox maker Hansen Transmissions has had a grim couple of years.

The completion of giant new factories on the eve of the financial crisis led to capacity utilisation rates of 40-50%, repressing margins and driving down its share price.

Suzlon selling part of its stake - and talk that it plans to offload the remaining 26% - has not helped.

Now, however, Hansen's fortunes are being boosted by its strong position in Asia, according to investment bank HSBC.
