First Solar is not the only company downgrading its ambitions in France. E.ON Climate & Renewables says the government's stance may make it shift its focus away from the country, with Italy likely to be the biggest beneficiary.
First Solar may scrap plans for module plant
US-based First Solar may pull the plug on its proposedmodule factory in France, in a further indication that the government's shifting PV policy is driving the industry away. Last year, First Solar announced plans to build a 100MW module plant in Blanquefort, France, in partnership with EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN).
