FORT WORTH: Atlantic Wind Connection (AWC) has filed a right-of-way application with the Department of the Interior (DOI) to build a 300-mile (483km) subsea electricity transmission system to link future offshore wind developments to the grid. The documentation submitted by AWC's development company, Atlantic Grid Development (AGD), identifies 297 three-square-mile blocks on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) - from northern New Jersey to Virginia - that would be considered for locating cable and offshore substation platforms.
