Dioxipe is developing two other solar-thermal plants in Spain, at Alc á zar de San Juan, near Ciudad Real. The three plants will require a total investment of Û935m. All three are being developed within the support mechanism of Royal Decree 6/2009, which required companies to register solar-thermal projects to prevent an overheating of the sector, and to ensure the quality and financial solidity of projects in order to qualify for the current feed-in tariff (FIT) mechanism.
Dioxipe starts building 50MW plant
The Dioxipe consortium - made up of Aries Ingeniería, Elecnor and ABN AMRO Global Infrastructure Fund - has started construction of a 50-megawatt (MW) solar-thermal plant near Badajoz, in Spain'sExtremadura region.
