Rio de Janeiro: Brazilian utility CPFL Energia is acquiring wind developer Jantus for R$950m ($601m). It will also assume net debt of R$544.2m. Jantus controls SIIF Énergies do Brasil and SIIF Desenvolvimento de Projetos de Energia Eólica. SIIF owns four operational wind farms in the state of Ceará with a total capacity of 210MW, plus another project under development, the 135MW Quintanilha Machado in Rio de Janeiro state.
