Sorry, but this is one time when a queezy Recharge feels global warming might help a bit. Apparently scientists have identified four new species of brain-controlling fungi that turn ants into zombies that do the parasites' bidding - and then kill them.

The four fungi, which go after different species of carpenter ant, have been found in Brazil's tropical rainforest.

Once the zombie fungus infects an ant, it uses unidentified chemicals to control the insect's behaviour, says study researcher David Hughes.
