London: China will bring in new rules to control the growth of sub-50MW wind projects and co-ordinate expansion with the grid.. Regulations being drafted will force local officials to win approval from China's National Energy Bureau (NEB) before licensing wind projects smaller than 50MW, reports the official Xinhua news agency.
At the moment, bureaucrats only have to report plans for such projects rather than gain the NEB's formal permission.
