Australia Perth-based Carnegie Wave Energy says it has successfully deployed and commissioned a wave-monitoring buoy off Bermuda's south coast with local partner Triton Renewable Energy. The companies will use the data gathered over the next 12 months to assess the feasibility of a 20MW wave-energy plant.
Carnegie and Triton have an agreement to develop the project, which has been selected by utility Bermuda Electric Light as a preferred renewable-energy development.
