Brazilian wind power is expected to grow to 12 times today's capacity, according to the government's new ten-year energy plan. The energy research centre, EPE, which prepares the annual reports that guidedecision-making, expects 12GW of wind power to be in operation in a decade; last year it forecast just 6GW.
Wind recently surpassed 1GW in operation, and by 2013, more than 5GW should be up and running.
