London: Germany's Belectric overtook Q-Cells International to become the world's largest PV system integrator last year, in a field that is growing increasingly competitive and fragmented. Bavaria-based Belectric - formerly known as Beck Energy - installed 320MW of non-residential PV capacity last year, narrowly edging out German renewables developer Juwi for the crown, according to IMS Research. Last year's title-holder, Q-Cells International, which is the project-development arm of the German cell giant, plummeted to sixth in the rankings.
