Seattle: The US government's clean-energy Loan Guarantee Program (LGP) has been criticisedfor incomplete record-keeping after an audit by the Department of Energy's inspector general.. The LGP "could not always readily demonstrate, through systematically organised records... how it resolved or mitigated relevant risks prior to granting loan guarantees", the audit claims..
But Loan Programs Office executive director Jonathan Silver says: "The report's findings do not implicate, or question, the fundamental quality of the underwriting of the transactions."
